Job Summary:

Emerald Healthcare, a third-party fiscal consulting company for an elite network of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interim Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Interim Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for leading a team of experienced nurse leaders in the clinical operations of the facility, providing exceptional care to our residents. This is a temporary opportunity to build bench strength and support the facility's clinical operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of experienced nurse leaders in the clinical operations of the facility

  • Provide exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met

  • Develop and implement effective nursing policies and procedures

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations

  • Provide training and support to nursing staff to ensure they are equipped to deliver high-quality care

  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required by regulatory agencies

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nursing License with 2-5 years of nursing leadership experience

  • Knowledge of long-term care and the regulations associated with the healthcare industry

  • Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to problem-solve and identify clinical solutions

  • Positive attitude and strong leadership skills

  • Ability to move intermittently throughout the day, proper body mechanics required

  • Ability to cope with the mental, emotional, and physical stress of the position

  • Ability to observe, listen, and communicate effectively

  • Ability to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, support agencies, and outside agencies

  • Ability to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility
