We are actively searching for dedicated and professional Medical Assistant Scribe to join our healthcare family. Situated in the beautiful San Diego, our private practice is dedicated to providing exceptional Primary Care. As a Medical Scribe, you will be a key member of our patient care team. Your role will encompass a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, designed to support our healthcare providers and ensure the utmost standard of care for our patients.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:   

  • Accurate transcription of medical record documentation during patient visits.
  • Efficient scheduling of appointments, optimizing provider time and treatment room use.
  • Effective management of patient flow, ensuring punctuality and handling delays.
  • Oversight of inventory, including supply orders and equipment repair scheduling.
  • Preparation and management of medical records and documentation.
  • Execution of routine medical procedures, such as Snellen eye exams and EKGs.
  • Assistance with minor office procedures and management of contaminated supplies.
  • Ensuring compliance with medical record keeping and HIPAA regulations.
  • Management of medication refill requests and patient communications.
  • Performance of clerical duties to enhance clinic workflow.
  • Accompanying healthcare providers during patient visits for thorough documentation.
  • Transcribing medical dictations, including lab results, consultations, and correspondences.
  • Organizing and maintaining patient records for accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Facilitating communication between healthcare providers.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, including scheduling and documentation management.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:   

  • High School diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with EHR systems (Allscripts and Epic preferred).
