Position Summary

Briarcliff Manor Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care is seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Supervisor to join our nursing leadership team. This position is ideal for a clinically strong, hands-on nurse leader who thrives in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment and is committed to delivering exceptional resident care and staff support during evening and overnight operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) and Associate DON with daily Nursing Department operations

  • Supervise nursing staff and ensure quality resident care across assigned shifts

  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, clinical standards, and state/federal regulations

  • Conduct routine rounds to monitor resident care, safety, and staff performance

  • Oversee medication administration and treatment schedules

  • Provide direct nursing care and clinical support as needed

  • Participate in resident assessments, care planning, and discharge planning

  • Welcome and assist newly admitted residents and families

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

  • Address staff concerns, performance issues, and workplace challenges professionally

  • Assist during state surveys, audits, and inspections

  • Conduct annual evaluations for LPNs and CNAs

Requirements

  • Active and unencumbered New York State RN license

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility

  • At least 6 months of rehabilitative/restorative nursing experience

  • Prior nursing home supervisory experience required

  • SigmaCare experience preferred
