Position Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Med-Surg

Key Responsibilities:

The Med-Surg/ER Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct nursing care to the patients and performed by the certified nursing assistants/nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures on the medical surgical and ER departments.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically demanding, high-stress environment
  • Exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions
  • Pushing and pulling heavy objects
  • Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
  • Manual and finger dexterity

  • Working irregular hours including after hours
  • Ability to assist in evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior experience on a medical/surgical floor preferred but not required.
  • Previous EHR experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Current unrestricted license as a LPN in North Dakota or compact license in home state.
  • Minimum of Associates Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or a graduate of an approved LPN program.
  • Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.
