Working closely with both medically complex and general education students, you will provide essential care, guidance, and health support across multiple school sites.
Your days will be based around scheduled program dates at different locations, including dedicated time for Extended School Year (ESY) and general education programs. This is a fantastic chance to use your clinical expertise and school nursing certification to directly impact students well-being.
Qualifications & Skills Sought:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Credentialed School Nurse certification required
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to deliver care to both medically complex and general education students
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Flexible to work at various sites on scheduled dates
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing services to ESY students (including those with complex medical needs) on June 11, June 26, June 29, July 6, July 7, July 13, and July 14 from 7am-2pm
- Support general education student health needs at multiple sites on July 20, July 24, July 27, and July 29
- Administer medications, monitor conditions, and respond to emergent situations
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate health records and care plans
