Benchmark at Newtown is hiring Full Time CNA to join their team. We're hiring on 2nd Shift, 3p-11p, and 3rd Shift, 11p-7a. The schedule is Friday & Saturday.

We are looking for a compassionate CNA to join our team! As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment. 

CNA Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting 
  • Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff. 
  • Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support. 
  • Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care. 
  • Other duties as needed. 
 

Requirements: 

  • Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required
  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
  • Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired

Certified Nurse’s Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Requirements Qualifications: Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of CT in good standing Experience in senior care required No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry. Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions. Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Attendance is a MUST! Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.
