  • Our Birthing Center is equipped with a Level 2 Nursery to assist and support our newborns and families.
  • A new Registered Nurse in this unit will have an hourly base rate starting at $33.34. An experienced Registered Nurse can expect an hourly base rate in the top 25% of nurses in the region. Compensation offered is highly competitive based on years of RN experience, job performance and the market.

  • RN positions are eligible for applicable shift differentials and Sunday/holiday premiums.
  • The day PRN position, 7:00am-7:30pm, is not benefit eligible but offers a premium for hours worked, and the scheduled hours depend on the needs of the department and our patients.

What is required for this position:

  • Upon hire, you must have:
    • Associate of Nursing (ASN) or equivalent required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Indiana Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Registered Nurse License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required.
  • Within 30 days of hire you must have (CRH provides training & time to acquire certification after employment):
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Certificate in Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • At least 2 years of Level II Nursery experience preferred.
  • This position requires frequent standing, walking, talking and listening and lifting or moving more than 50 lbs.

SUMMARY: The RN is responsible for providing direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Receive & transcribe telephone orders from physicians & record on the Physician’s Order Form. Chart nurse’s notes in an informative & descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident’s response to the care. Fill out and complete accident/incident reports & submit to Director as required. Perform routine charting duties as required & in accordance with established charting & documentation policies & procedures. Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician. Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift. Receive/give the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours. Make rounds with physicians as necessary. Utilize appropriate infection control procedures. h. Maintain skills and knowledge through training and continuing education. Complete mandatory education requirements. Attend staff meetings and in-services. i. Monitor the condition of equipment and report malfunctions to the Supervisor or Director. Performs additional related duties as assigned.
