This Director of Nursing (DON) position does qualifies for a $1O,OOO.OO sign on bonus - You do have to be an active employee in good standing at time of payout. Bonus is subject to terms and conditions, and minimum hours worked.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Nursing Department . As a DON, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of our Nursing Department, ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities.
• Develop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator, as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the nursing service department.
• Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.
• Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing department.
• Participate in facility surveys made by authorized government agencies as necessary or as may be directed.

Qualifications:

• Must have, as a minimum, 3 years of experience in a nursing care facility, or other related healthcare facility.
• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be a supportive team member, contribute to, and be an example of teamwork and team concept.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Salary: $115,000 - $135,000 ANNUALLY
