Job Description Summary
Work in a Clinic Monday - Friday from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, no holidays or weekends.The Nurse Practitioner provides advanced clinical care focused on employee health, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance. This role delivers direct patient care for work‑related injuries and illnesses, supports injury prevention initiatives, and promotes a safe, healthy workforce through assessment, treatment, education, and collaboration with leadership, human resources, and safety teams.
Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests. Advises patients about continuing care.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and two years clinical experience required, at least one year of which must have been in a specialty area of care.
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner specific to the area of employment required unless a new graduate. New graduates must be certification eligible upon employment, and obtain certification within six months of employment.
Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse and hold official recognition as a Nurse Practitioner from the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
Preference:
Experience in occupational health, urgent care, emergency, or primary care
Knowledge of workers’ compensation and OSHA regulations
Occupational health certification (COHN or COHN‑S)
DOT Medical Examiner certification or willingness to obtain

Physical Requirements:
Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors. Frequently lift, lower, push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 50 lbs (+/-) unassisted, exert up to 50 lbs of force, lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs. Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.
