In this role, you will work closely with a delightful 4th-grade student who is ambulatory, has no behavioral issues, and is well-loved by their school community. Responsibilities focus on providing essential medical support while encouraging the student’s participation and comfort during the school day and transportation to and from school.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct 1:1 care for an elementary-aged student throughout the school day.
Administer tracheostomy care and suctioning as needed, ensuring the student’s health and safety.
Manage g-tube feeding and care with confidence and compassion.
Assist with diapering and personal hygiene.
Support the student during school bus transportation, with safe transitions and communication with the home health nurse.

Qualifications:

Active LPN/LVN license with eligibility to practice in Washington.
Demonstrated experience in trach and g-tube care (required).
Previous pediatric or school-based nursing experience preferred but not mandatory.
Compassionate, reliable, and skilled in providing sensitive care to children.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with families, health providers, and educational staff.
