How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Deliver Evidence-Based Care: Provide compassionate, direct nursing care that adheres meticulously to the established clinical protocols, policies, and procedures of our organization, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Drive Care Plan Success: Take ownership of individualized patient care plans, actively implementing and continuously monitoring progress to ensure treatment goals are being met and care is personalized.
  • Be the Clinical Watchdog: Maintain essential vigilance by monitoring, accurately recording, and promptly communicating any pertinent changes in a patient’s condition to the interdisciplinary team.

  • Facilitate Safe Transitions: Lead the strategic assessment and coordination of patient's discharge planning needs, collaborating with the healthcare team to prepare and implement a seamless, safe, and supportive transition plan for the patient's next stage of recovery or care.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

  • Previous ICU/Critical Care experience required.

Administers medications and performs nursing tasks (IV starts, Foley catheter insertions, assists with bedside procedures, etc.) upon demonstration of competency. Participates in patient/significant other health education and discharge planning. Utilizes appropriate chain of command for resolution of difficult issues. Participates in orientation of new staff in the Resource RN job role. Maintains neat, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff in collaboration with ancillary services. Participates in the unit’s continuous quality improvement plan to improve organizational performance.
