STUDENT NURSE TECH PROGRAM

The Student Nurse Tech Program at Driscoll Children’s Hospital provides nursing students an enhanced, paid educational opportunity, to expand on the skills learned in the classroom, with comprehensive learning and hands-on experience devoted entirely to pediatrics.

Minimum Requirements:

- Must currently be enrolled and remain enrolled in a school of registered nursing

- Must have completed one semester of nursing school in the BSN program OR have completed the second semester of an AAS degree

- Current BLS card through American Heart Association

Important Information you should know:

- You will need to submit grades and class registration every semester prior to working

- SNTs are required to work a minimum of 2 shifts per pay period (2 weeks in a pay period)

Limited openings make Driscoll’s Student Nurse Tech Program highly competitive.  Selection will be based on meeting the minimum requirements, successful completion of coursework, completed application, resume, and the interview process.

The unlicensed Nurse Extern must always be under the direct supervision of a designated licensed professional registered nurse. 2.
