We are currently hiring for full-time Registered Nurses (RN).

 

The RN is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care activities through collaborative efforts with the interdisciplinary care team in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.  The RN is responsible for complete oversight of all patient care activities during their assigned shift and will have supervisory responsibility for other RNs, LVNs, and MHTs.

 

Available Shifts: 

PM shift (3pm-11:30pm)

NOC shift (11pm-7:30am)

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited RN program and Associate Degree in Nursing Required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) months experience in the acute psychiatric health care field is preferred.

Licensure & Certification:

  • Currently maintains an active RN license in good standing issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing
  • CPR with AED certification must be current and presented to Human Resources upon hire.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work every other weekend and holidays, as scheduled.

Oncology Biotherapy/Chemotherapy Course completion required. Oncology Certified Nurse OCN preferred. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Demonstrated knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology. Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations. Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people. Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook), Electronic Health Record. Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
