Summary Of Position

A Medical Assistant for the Premier Health Physician Companies will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day, and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care, under supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers.

Our Medical Assistant are an integral part of our offices, and are relied upon to assist in delivering the very best in Patient Experience. Every patient, every time.

Nature and Scope

Independently performed procedures may include, but is not limited to, rooming patients and collecting vitals, pulmonary function tests, administration of injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests, and other duties as assigned. Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills will be an ongoing expectation.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent certificate
  • Qualified applicants must have graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program and/or will be a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred
  • Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
  • Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service

standards.

  • CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.

Premier Health Primary Care Beavercreek (MA Or LPN) FT / 80 hours per pay period Summary Of Position The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the direction and supervision of the center’s physicians and/or providers. Nature and Scope The Certified Medical Assistant works under the direct supervision of the physician and/or provider. A minimum patient base of 1,000 to 3,000 patients is served, and an average of 20 – 50 patients are seen each day. The Certified MA will assist providers with patient care that includes, but is not limited to; order entry, reporting, phone calls, clerical, and organizational tasks, and related duties. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent certificate required. Medical Assistant Certification required. Must maintain current MA certification with CEU requirements, along with BLS certification, for the duration of employment. Successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program required. Experience in an ambulatory care environment preferred. Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians. Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and patient experience standards. BLS certified at the time of employment, or within the first 3 months. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred.
