RN Unit Manager
In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee the day-to-day operations of our nursing unit, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of care. As a mentor and role model, you will guide and support our nursing staff to deliver exceptional care, promote a positive work environment, and foster strong relationships with residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise nursing staff and manage unit operations to ensure efficient and compliant care delivery.
• Develop, implement, and enforce employee policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care.
• Mentor and support less experienced nurses, providing clinical guidance and career development advice.
• Establish and uphold standards of care for the unit, ensuring resident safety and well-being.
• Review resident records and monitor the quality of care provided, ensuring accurate and effective treatment plans.
• Conduct case reviews and ensure individualized care plans are consistently followed.
• Address inquiries and concerns from residents and their families in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure the unit is adequately stocked with necessary medical supplies to prevent shortages and ensure smooth operations.
• Advocate for the unit's interests to upper management and collaborate in addressing issues as needed.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care (preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience in a Unit Manager role (preferred).
• Valid RN License required.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
