Position Responsibilities: Assist with patient rooming, procedures, and treatments in accordance with organizational standards. Support physicians with clinical tasks, ensuring completeness of ordered procedures and treatments. Facilitate smooth patient flow and coordinate care activities. Perform general lab work, instruct patients regarding procedures, and support clinical documentation. Maintain and update EMR files accurately and timely. Support front office duties such as scheduling and patient check-in/out as needed. May assist with computerized physician order entry under physician direction. Precept current MA team members or externs as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required; graduation from a Medical Assistant program preferred. Current certification in Medical Assisting from one of the following organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Healthcareer Association (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare workers required. Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA standards required. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain accuracy. Basic math skills and proficiency in data collection and entry required.
