Position Title: Team Lead – Medical AssistantShift: Full-Time DayLocation: 550 S Hoke Ave, Frankfort, IN 46041Scheduled Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm  
 Position Overview: The Team Lead Medical Assistant provides functional guidance to support staff and performs the duties of a Medical Assistant in alignment with organizational standards. This role coordinates administrative services to ensure smooth clinic operations, including scheduling, training, and inventory management. The Team Lead may oversee inpatient and outpatient consult activities within the assigned location and may perform computerized physician order entry as directed by the physician.
 Key Responsibilities:  Provide supervision and support to support staff and team members.  Perform clinical duties such as rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and supporting patient care.  Coordinate scheduling, inventory, and training activities to optimize clinic efficiency.  Manage inpatient and outpatient consult activities as assigned.  Perform computerized physician order entry when directed by the physician.
 Qualifications & Requirements:  High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Graduation from a Medical Assistant program and/or certification from one of the following organizations:  American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)  American Medical Technologists (RMA)  National Health career Association (CCMA)  National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)  American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare workers required.  Other advanced life support certifications may be required per department policies.  At least 2 years of experience as an MA II or III at IU Health is required.  Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required.  Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage priorities.  Basic math skills and accurate data collection and entry skills.  To learn more about our benefits, visit: IU Health Benefits
