We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Resident Medication Aide

Schedule:

Full Time: 7am - 3pm
Full Time: 11pm – 7am

Salary: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience.

Shift differential also available for Evenings, Nights and Weekend Shifts

Resident Medication Aide Responsibilities include:

Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care as needed
Assist in monitoring the medication program
Dispenses medication in accordance with physician orders and as stated on the Medication Administration Record for all residents

Resident Medication Aide Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Two (2) years of resident care experience and/or training required
Successfully complete all trainings as required by state regulations

Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational. Provides assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate. May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed. Qualifications High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Minimum age of 18 preferred. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually based on state requirements. Maintains all department specific required certifications. When applicable, may need a valid driver's license and auto insurance. Iowa: Require Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing. CNA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing. Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course once CNA certification is obtained. Minnesota: Must have nursing assistant certification, have completed the 75-hour course and be registered with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry. For all Good Samaritan and Sanford nursing facilities: Must have the state required certified/trained medication aide certification (CMA or TMA).
