Alliance Health at Baldwinville is a 94-bed skilled nursing facility that provides long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, and specialized nursing services. We are committed to delivering high-quality care while fostering a positive and supportive workplace for our employees.
Our facility is currently seeking a dedicated and organized Staff Development Coordinator to join our management team. As a member of the facility's management team, the Staff Development Coordinator plays a key leadership role in developing and supporting our workforce through orientation, training, competency validation, and professional development initiatives.
This position works collaboratively with all departments to foster a culture of learning, compliance, and excellence in resident care; to oversee employee orientation, training, education, and competency programs. This position is a plays a key role in ensuring staff maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality resident care while meeting state and federal regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation programs.
Develop, schedule, and facilitate ongoing staff education and in-service training.
Maintain employee training records and competency documentation.
Ensure compliance with state, federal, OSHA, infection control, and facility training requirements.
Coordinate annual mandatory education and competency assessments.
Assist with CNA training, mentoring, and performance improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and opportunities for professional development.
Monitor regulatory changes and update training materials as needed.
Support survey readiness and corrective action plans related to staff education.
Assist with employee engagement, retention, and career development initiatives.
Qualifications
Current RN license preferred; healthcare training experience required.
Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare settings preferred.
Knowledge of CMS, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and long-term care regulations.
Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic learning systems.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
