Summary:

The primary function of the PCT is to assist the patient and family with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The PCT works as an essential part of the patient care team. As the member who spends most of their time in the presence of the patient, compassion, caring, and excellent human interaction skills are necessary along with excellent communication skills both to and from the patient and family, and to and from the rest of the healthcare team.

12 college level credit hours that include a passing grade in English Composition with a C or higher and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater. (transcripts will be verified upon application) Healthcare experience preferred but not required Service industry experience preferred but not required Willingness to work flexible hours Good organization skills Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to learn and apply new healthcare related skills Ability to communicate effectively and do so consistently Ability to collaborate with the health care team effectively and do so consistently Ability to engage people at the appropriate level for their wellness and cognition Ability to problem solve Ability to be proactive in anticipating the customer’s needs Will provide education that includes: CPR, Skills training, Crucial Conversations, and Hospitality in Healthcare. Must be actively enrolled in an accredited RN Nursing program with one semester completed.

The L&D RN is cross-trained to Mother/Baby care. The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures and standards of the Health System. The RN will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts. Overview The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) will work with a team of physicians, other nurses, patient care techs, and other professionals from various departments of the hospital such as Laboratory, Radiology, and Respiratory Therapy. CRHS ED is a certified Level III Trauma Center, AR SAVES spoke site and receiving site, and a designated Arkansas Stroke Ready Hospital (ArSRH). The ED RN is part of a team that provides care for traumatically injured patients, and critically ill patients suffering from life threatening conditions such as Heart Attack or Stroke. The ED RN works alongside the team with the common goal of providing compassionate, quality care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics within a fast paced environment. The ED RN will assess and monitor a wide array of health conditions and injuries, administer medications, and perform procedures such as moderate sedation, intraosseous and intravascular therapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
