A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Registered Nurse to support a kindergarten student with diabetes in a school environment. This contract role is based within a summer special education program, offering focused, one-to-one care. The assignment runs from July 6, 2026 to August 14, 2026, Monday through Friday, 8:15am to 11:30am. There is potential for ongoing employment for the following academic year, continuing as a 1:1 school nurse from September 8, 2026 through June 24, 2027, with hours from 9:15am to 3:45pm.

Key Qualifications:

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
Previous school-based nursing or pediatric experience preferred
Comfortable with diabetes management, including glucose monitoring and insulin administration

Role Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 nursing care to a kindergarten-aged student diagnosed with diabetes

Respond promptly to medical events and communicate health concerns to school staff and guardians
Educate the school community on diabetes awareness when appropriate
