This position will also maintain current Medication Profiles for each patient, reporting any potential interactions to the Pharmacist and Physician. Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities: • Receives orders from physicians/pharmacists and schedules appointments for patients. • Receives patients, explains procedures, checks vital signs and administers therapy, monitors reactions, and reports to physicians/pharmacists. • Deal with emergency situations (with outside assistance) if required. • Provides such infusion treatments as hydration, TPN, administering drugs and solutions. • Keeps records for physicians/pharmacies and billing purposes utilizing EMR system Required Skills/Abilities: • Organized manner to maintain schedule and generate reports in a timely fashion. • Reassuring manner to deal with patients of all ages. • Computer Competence and ability to document in the EMR with accuracy. Education and Experience: • RN with state license required. • At least two years of clinical experience that includes training in infusion therapy. • We will train an otherwise competent candidate. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Prolonged periods of standing, bending and reaching. • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
