Director of Nursing

A well-established, high-quality skilled nursing facility is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to provide clinical leadership, drive excellence in resident care, and lead a dedicated nursing team.

Position Overview:

The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all nursing services, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining clinical excellence, and fostering a positive, supportive work environment for staff and residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise nursing staff across all shifts

• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and survey requirements

• Maintain high standards of resident care and clinical outcomes

• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and clinical policies

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and administration

• Prepare for and manage state surveys and audits

• Implement quality improvement initiatives and infection control programs

• Promote staff development, retention, and accountability

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing

• Previous DON or ADON experience in a skilled nursing facility required

• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations

• Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills

• Survey-ready mindset with successful survey history preferred
