Position Summary: The Ambulatory Clinical Training Coordinator is responsible the clinical training/orientation of the Clinical (Nursing) staff in the Medical Group. Adult learning theories are utilized when implementing educational programs/activities for staff. The Ambulatory Clinical Training Coordinator acts as a consultant and trainer for standards of care for clinical practice; utilizes and applies change theory in matters related to clinical practice; applies interpersonal skills and fosters communication when interacting with staff and other members of the healthcare organization. The Ambulatory Clinical Training Coordinator is directed by the Ambulatory Clinical (Nurse) Educator in establishing and maintaining clinical competencies; pursues continued excellence in clinical practice; is self‐motivated in identifying own strengths and limitations; and seeks to improve areas of weakness. The Ambulatory Clinical Training Coordinator is not administratively responsible for the supervision of other people but works collaboratively with Practice Managers to assure that standards of clinical practice are met.
