Pay range for this position is $34.25-51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.
Shift Differentials:
- 3rd shift - $4.00/hour
- Weekends - $3.25/hour
$12,500-20,000 Sign-On Bonus
(New Grads: $12,500, 1+ Years of Experience: $20,000)

Our Medical Surgical Unit is a great place to begin your career as a graduate nurse learn about nursing skills, teamwork, and critical thinking. Our unit also challenges the experienced nursing staff with the complexity and acuity of our patient population. we have a 45 bed unit comprised of a diverse population of patients. Some of the diagnosises that we see range from COPD, CHF, pneumoia, stroke, AKI, Medical stabilization, and much more.
Nursing ratios are 4-6:1 and the goal is to maintain a free charge who has the ability to help with patient throughput and patient placement. Nurses hire in through our progression competency onboarding model and work through critical thinking skills before they come off of orientation. Our medical surgical team sets the bar high with our hyperfocus on quality metrics and an excellent patient experience.

Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
- Licensure/Certification: Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: BSN
- Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
- Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
