Caregiver Responsibilities

As an evening caregiver, you may assist clients with:

Personal care, including bathing, dressing, and fall prevention
Comfortable performing heavy transfers using proper lifting techniques
Toileting and incontinence care
Meal preparation and medication reminders
Light housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean home environment
Meaningful companionship through conversation, games, activities, and engagement

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Assisting residents with ADL tasks as indicated in their service plans. This includes but not limited to: assisting with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, serving and assisting with meals, feeding, housekeeping, bed making, and laundry Always observe and uphold resident rights Positively supports residents with emotional and behavioral issues Assist other staff as needed on the floors Assist residents to and from meals Supports resident activity participation by assisting residents to/from activities, encouraging participation, and leading activities when asked.
