The Personal Care Aide position requires the following:

o Ability to communicate in a dignified, respectful manner.

o Relates well to residents, visitors and other staff members

o Emotional and physical stamina to be of service to the residents in their daily living skills

o Interest and participation in opportunities for personal academic growth

o Ability to practice self-control in speech, listening, body and facial mannerisms 

o Assist residents with activities of daily living.  

o Assist residents with medication. 

o Assist residents with grooming, showering, and other aspects of personal care.

o Update medication administration record as needed

o Ensure that resident receives all necessary documents prior to doctor appointments.

o Consult and correspond with doctor offices for any necessary clarifications

o Contact pharmacy for residents' prescription refills as needed and ensure escript copies are received.

o Record all pertinent information regarding residents in the twenty-four hour log book.

Specific Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Prefer prior experience with medication assistance.
  • Prefer previous experience, either professional, personal or volunteer, with the elderly population.

Compensation: 

$15/Hours + PTO
