Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations. Diagnose and manage endocrine disorders in collaboration with supervising physicians. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results. Manage diabetes care, including insulin therapy, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and insulin pump management. Provide patient education regarding disease management, medications, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state laws and organizational protocols. Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as needed. Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR). Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, nurses, dietitians, diabetes educators, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical performance programs. Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
