As a Clinical Nurse II, you will deliver direct care to assigned adult and or geriatric patients in an ambulatory setting. Nursing care is delivered using standards of care by following approved policies and procedures.Qualifications
Education
- Assoc. Degree/College Diploma - minimum
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (state accredited program) - preferred
Experience
- 1 year For external hires, acute care experience in their specialty for new hires. Promotion to Clinical Nurse II is automatic after completion of one (1) year of clinical experience and a satisfactory performance appraisal at a Clinical Nurse I level. - minimum
Licenses and Certifications
- RN State License - Upon Hire minimum California State RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Upon Hire minimum BLS Certification. As required by your specialty unit.
- Other – See Department Specifics - 1 Year minimum Other Competencies, as required by your specialty unit (ex. ACLS, PALS, fetal heart monitoring)
- ANCC Specialty Certification - preferred Any ANCC Specialty Certification strongly recommended after 2 years in specialty
