  • 4 OB/ED bays – with OB Hospitalists 24/7

  • Average between 160 deliveries per month and increasing.
  • 24 bed Postpartum/Newborn, couplet care
  • Level III Maternal designation
  • Level III NICU

Here’s What You Need

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of hire
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire Req
  • NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training maintained annually within 90 days of hire
  • 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
  • At least 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Medical City Arlington Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Seasonal PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS · All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. · Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need. · Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period. · During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee). · Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
