A well-established skilled nursing and long-term care organization in North Central Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations for one of its skilled nursing communities.

The Director of Nursing will oversee all nursing operations, support regulatory compliance, lead clinical quality initiatives, and help promote a positive, accountable clinical culture. This role works closely with facility leadership, physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and corporate clinical support to ensure high-quality care and strong clinical outcomes.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily nursing operations for a skilled nursing facility

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and CMS regulations

  • Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff while promoting a positive clinical culture

  • Partner with physicians, facility leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality resident care

  • Manage staffing, infection control, clinical performance, and quality outcomes

Skills & Expertise:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program

  • Active Pennsylvania RN license required

  • Prior nursing leadership experience in Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care strongly preferred

  • DON, ADON, or similar nursing leadership experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical operations

  • Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and drive quality outcomes

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-through skills
