Director of Nursing Services (DON) Responsibilities:
Direct and supervise the daily operations of the nursing department.
Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
Ensure the implementation of individualized care plans for residents in compliance with regulations.
Monitor resident care and ensure quality control standards are met.
Collaborate with other department heads to coordinate comprehensive care and services.
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including the implementation of facility policies.
Evaluate patient care through regular assessments and audits, making adjustments as needed.
Respond to patient concerns and communicate with families to provide updates on care and progress.
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and budgeting for the nursing department.
What We Look for in a Director of Nursing (DON):
Current and valid RN license in the state of New Jersey, in good standing
Previous experience as a Director of Nursing or in a leadership role in long-term care
