Experience in detoxification, behavioral health, or substance use disorder treatment is preferred, but we welcome motivated nurses looking to expand their clinical experience in addiction medicine.

Position Summary
As an LPN, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients throughout the detoxification process. Working closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the clinical treatment team, you will perform assessments, administer medications, monitor withdrawal symptoms, document patient progress, and help ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
Qualifications

Current LPN license in good standing

Current CPR certification

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred; detox, behavioral health, or substance use disorder experience strongly preferred

Psychiatric nursing experience preferred

Experience administering oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications

Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience

Familiarity with ASAM Criteria and Joint Commission Behavioral Health Standards preferred

Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
-
Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during medical emergencies
-
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team
Responsibilities

Perform nursing assessments upon admission and throughout treatment
-
Monitor patients for withdrawal symptoms and changes in medical condition

Administer medications as prescribed by the medical team

Document all patient care accurately in the Electronic Health Record

Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient care and clinical reporting

Develop and implement nursing care plans

Educate patients regarding medications, detoxification, and recovery
-
Reconcile and securely manage medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
-
Maintain accurate controlled substance documentation
-
Follow infection control and safety protocols
-
Communicate patient status effectively during shift handoff

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to provide exceptional patient care
