School Registered Nurse | Grandville, Michigan

Step into a pivotal role supporting a vibrant fourth-grade student as a dedicated school nurse in a contract assignment near Grandville, MI. This unique opportunity places you at the heart of student care, providing one-on-one nursing services for a child with vent and trach dependency who is social, mobile, and enjoys a typical oral diet. You'll work closely with school staff and the student's family while participating in both classroom activities and school transportation. The assignment begins August 24, 2026, and continues through June 9, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as an RN or LPN in the state of Michigan
  • Prior pediatric nursing experience, particularly with vent and trach-dependent individuals
  • Experience in school settings strongly preferred
  • Strong commitment to attendance and reliability for the full school year
  • Confident in supporting students during daily bus transportation
  • Ability to adapt and provide backup assistance in the school health room when required

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct medical care and supervision to a single student throughout the school day, including bus transportation to and from school
  • Monitor respiratory equipment and tracheostomy care, ensuring utmost safety at all times
  • Collaborate with school personnel and family members to promote the students well-being and educational participation
  • Maintain clear documentation of all care provided and communicate effectively with the team
  • Provide coverage in the health room when the primary student is absent, supporting general student health needs

School Registered Nurse | Rockford, Michigan

Step into the rewarding world of school nursing with a full-time contract opportunity caring for a vibrant and resilient 4th-grade student. This role offers a unique chance to make a direct, positive impact while working closely with both the student and educational team throughout the school year. Beginning in late August and continuing through early June, you'll be the primary medical support for a student who is vent and trach dependent, verbal, mobile, and able to eat and drink orally. Bring your skills and compassion to support daily health needs at school and during bus transport, ensuring continuity of care and safety.
