Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The Perioperative Services Nurse Educator is accountable for managing Staff Development, continuous Quality Improvement and Medical Staff orientation programs for Perioperative Services. Assesses needs, counsels and evaluates performance of new OR staff, and participates in the orientation of nursing and medical students, house staff, and visitors to the Operating Room environment. This incumbent is required to cover all locations including Orange DH,OSS and Irvine ACC, GHEI.

  • Current California RN license
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of anesthetic drugs and monitoring needs
  • BSN or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • BLS Required
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
