The MDS/Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Direct the Resident Assessment Process through assisting with the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and CAA's.
Participate in developing individualized resident Care Plans, identifying the needs of the resident and projected outcomes as required by Federal and State regulations.
MDS/RAI Care Plan Functions
Complete nursing assigned MDS items, CAA's and Care Plans as designated by the facility.
Participate in the resident Care Plan Meetings.

Position Requirements

RN licensure in the state of practice and experience in PPS and OBRA assessments
Previous experience in a hospital, long-term facility, or other healthcare related facility.
Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
Computer skills-Windows applications, computer experience Accu Med experience preferred.
Previous experience in completing MDS and Care Plans is required.
1-3 years of MDS experience or RN with LTC experience that can be trained in assessment role
Can work independently
Flexible with schedule for month end close
Detail oriented and able to accurately and timely complete assessments.

Job Description The Outpatient Radiology Nurse provides safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures. Job Description Provides timely and thorough clinical information to insurance companies and other intermediaries to secure payer authorizations and avoid denials or reduction in level of care. Performs daily surveillance of observation cases and works with PA discussing any barriers to progression of care or discharge. Intervenes proactively to avoid denials or delays in authorization. Actively communicates information to other CM team members and interdisciplinary teams regarding progress or payer issues related to continued hospitalization and post-acute service associated with the patients discharge plan. Refers cases and issues to Physician Advisors or Designees in compliance with department procedures with timely follow up as indicated Assists in identification and collection of avoidable days Coordinates with the CM RN and/or CMA to identify and complete the process for CMS required patient notices. Completes and documents utilization reviews, physician advisor referrals and other communications related to assigned cases in accordance with department policy and procedure. Complies with the Condition of Code 44 process, CMS required patient notices and other regulatory requirements within the utilization management process.
