Hours: Per Diem Nursing staff agree to work a minimum of 24 hours/week.

Weekends: Per Diem Nursing staff are responsible to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) or a flexible alternative if so requested by facility.

Option 2 - Lower Per Diem Rate $47.00 plus applicable diffs

Hours: Per Diem Nursing staff agree to pick up a minimum of 40 hours/month.

Weekends: Per Diem Nursing staff are responsible to work two weekend shifts, 16 hours a month (Beginning Friday, 3-11 through Sunday 11-7 shift).Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital is a small community hospital that does big things to help people. Our two hospital units specialize in caring for medically complex patients with a similar acuity to a medical surgical or telemetry unit. With our population typically staying for 2-3 weeks, caregivers see the same patients make progress over time.

We are currently seeking caring energetic and invested professional nursing staff.

New and experiences nurses are welcome to apply.

8 and 12 hour Shifts available.

  • Nurses are provided a comprehensive orientation of 6 to 12 weeks.
  • Additional training is provided to nurses to allow nurses to achieve competence in Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Interpretation, IV and Phlebotomy Skills and ACLS.

Prerequisites:

  • Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Current Certification in BLS of Adult, Child and Infant.

Schedules and Completes Minimum Data Set (MDS) Assessments and care plans for all residents assigned . 2. Monitors completion of MDS Assessments by other disciplines and ensures timely completion per CMS and RAI guidelines and Signs off the RN completion. 3. Advises supervisor of incomplete and/or untimely assessments by disciplines other than nursing. 4. Ensures accurate, timely completion of the MDS/CAAs/Care plans sheet for assigned residents. 5. Initiates care plans and supporting activities that will result in best possible outcome for assigned residents. 6. Generates and distributes monthly care plan calendar for the following month. 7. Conducts care plan conferences for assigned residents. 8. Advises Director of Nursing Care of persistent issues related to non-compliant documentation on assigned residents. 15.
