The Ambulatory Surgery RN Responsibilities Include

  • RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
  • RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
  • RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
  • RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we require at least 2 years of RN experience with 1 year RN experience in Surgery preferred. This position will be focused on circulating Ambulatory Surgeries. A minimum of one year of Surgery or Ambulatory Surgery experience as an RN is strongly preferred for consideration.

  • ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
  • Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education

  • Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing
  • Preferred Bachelor's Nursing

Experience

  • Required 1 year acute care experience or 1 year interventional / procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or interventional / procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.
  • Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
