
RN - Registered Nurse - Nursing Quality Coordinator - Surgical Suite
The Nursing Quality Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating system-level workflows and clinical projects that advance quality, safety, and strategic innovation across the healthcare enterprise. This role integrates project management, data analytics, and educational leadership to support the implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives that align with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly; Days.
A minimum of 3 years RN work experience is required.

Job Duties:
- Lead and coordinate system-level quality improvement initiatives and strategic projects across service lines, platforms, and regions.
- Collaborate with clinical teams and the Division of Quality and Safety to standardize and optimize patient care practices and procedures.
- Guide and mentor teams in the application of lean methodologies and continuous improvement strategies to support the organization’s strategic plan.
- Analyze workflows to support the standardized collection and use of clinical data for quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Manage data collection and reporting for national benchmarking programs.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external regulatory and accreditation bodies to ensure compliance and alignment with best practices.
- Facilitate the development and monitoring of key performance indicators, including nurse-sensitive and system-wide quality indicators.
- Review incident reports and other data sources to identify trends, develop action plans, and implement meaningful practice changes.
- Participate in root cause analyses and the development of corrective action plans following adverse events, including policy updates and staff education.
- Identify opportunities for clinical improvement and conduct operational and clinical impact assessments to recommend evidence-based solutions.
- Design and deliver educational programs that promote professional development and clinical excellence among nursing staff.
- Collaborate with Nursing Education, IT, EPIC, and operational departments to enhance healthcare delivery and patient safety.
- Promote compliance with professional standards, clinical risk management principles, and patient safety regulations.
- Participate in shared governance and quality-related committees to support a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Focus on the design and presentation of clinical information to support nurse decision-making, workflow optimization, and improved patient outcomes.
