A Brief Overview This is a Full-Time opportunity with the Surgical Services team at the Philadelphia Campus. Preferred operating room/surgical experience. Candidates must have clinical experience via accredited CST program. The Surgical Technologist I is an integral member of the surgical team. The Technologist I works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse/Circulating Nurse. He/she functions in a scrub role, providing assistance to the operating surgeon and assistants. He/she also provides assistance in preparations for procedures and the clean-up afterwards. This individual works collaboratively with the entire surgical team. What you will do Functions in “scrub” role during the various surgical procedures and provides assistance in all areas of patient care. Collaborates with RN and physicians in developing a plan of care for each patient. Collaborates with RN in maintaining a safe, organized, clean, and comfortable environment for patients. Scrubs for routine and complex procedures. Consistently demonstrates aseptic practice as defined in AORN Recommended Practices.
