Overview

Support the integration of collaborative care planning for individual patients and implement the standards of nursing in the processes of care.

Responsibilities

General Clinical Practice

  • Performs all assigned patient care responsibilities according to the standards of care at NLH and within the scope of practice established for LNAs.
  • Demonstrates the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the population served.
  • Documents care provided using hospital standards.
  • Reinforces education to patients and families.
  • Reports any untoward symptoms or changes to appropriate RN/LPN.
  • Monitors the patient environment to assure that it is safe and free from hazards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited LNA program
  • 0-1 year relevant clinical practice
  • Hospital experience preferred

Required Licensure/Certifications

REQUIRED LICENSE(S): • LNA - NH or temp LNA - NH REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: • (BLS) Basic Life Support

Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) - Neurology

Overview Neurology Clinic 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care duties. Possesses direct access to drug products and secure medication locations in order to manage the storage, handling and disposal of medications consistent with the Medication Storage and Handling Policy.
