Pay range for this position is $42.78 - $53.74/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.
Sign on bonus eligible! Internal Mission Partners not eligible.
2 year commitment - $20,000 bonus
Night Shift Differential: $4/hour
Weekend Differential: $3.25/hour
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Core Flex I Registered Nurse provides expert, engaged nursing care aligned with their competencies, within an entity, including those with multiple campuses, within OSF HealthCare. The Core Flex I RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients using the nursing process. The Core Flex I RN is a highly knowledgeable, autonomous professional who demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, seamlessly to meet patient and organizational needs. The Core Flex I RN role requires advanced clinical competence, informal leadership capability, and provides safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to patients across the care continuum in diverse environments.
Tier I RN’s will provide coverage in two or more of the following departments at one location:
- ICU, Stepdown, Medical/Surgical, Psychiatric, Outpatient Clinic, Ambulatory Care.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Associate degree in nursing
Experience:
- 1 year of nursing experience in an acute healthcare setting within the specialty hired.
Licensure/ Certification:
- Reg Nurse License in the state of Illinois
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association
- Advanced Care Life Support certification (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (required for applicable specialties)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (required for applicable specialties)
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain flexibility in work and schedule.
- Strong clinical judgment and autonomous decision-making ability. 2
- Advanced assessment, analytical, and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage complex patient populations across the care continuum.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft applications.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or completion within two years of hire.
Experience:
- 2 years of nursing experience in an acute healthcare setting within the specialty hired.
- Participation in Clinical Ladder strongly encouraged.
