Key Responsibilities:

Administer medications through G-tube as prescribed, following medical and school protocols.
Perform frequent suctioning as needed throughout the school day.
Assist with oral feeding, hydration, and monitor intake to ensure safe swallowing practices.
Support toileting needs respectfully, maintaining hygiene and comfort.
Safely assist with lifting, positioning, and transfers using proper techniques.
Monitor and document the student’s health status and communicate concerns to appropriate staff.
Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and health professionals to address the student’s educational and medical requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for individualized care.

Qualifications:

Current LPN certification.
Experience working with children, especially those with complex medical requirements, is highly valued.
Proficiency or training in G-tube care, suctioning, and feeding assistance is preferred.
Capable of performing physical tasks, including safe lifts and transfers.
Excellent communication skills and comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
