A Brief Overview Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking two Licensed Practical Nurses for their Highpoint Primary Care office. This position will be Monday-Friday and will require one evening shift per week and a rotating Saturday shift. The shift will be based off of the operational need. Two years of LPN and pediatric experience is preferred. The Licensed Practical Nurse performs routine nursing care of the ill, injured or infirm under the direction of a licensed professional (RN) nurse, nurse practitioner and/or a physician. The LPN participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in accordance with the scope of the LPN as defined by the State Board of Nursing and health system standards. Also supports operations through administrative duties as required. The nurse must demonstrate competence in caring for patients with moderate to complex health issues and assist the Site Manager with administrative issues which affect the clinical practices within the office as well as comply with the administrative policies and clinical protocols as outlined in policy and procedure manual. Administratively responsible to the Site Manager and Ambulatory Nursing Director for nursing practice issues. Must be willing to rotate if needed to other Care Network sites within the designated cluster.
