RN Clinical Coordinator= Cardiovascular and Other Disease Processes Position Summary

Coordinates the Cardiovascular Program for entire Carondelet St Josephs' Hospital; performs project coordination. Provides leadership and coordination of registry guidelines and performance improvement. Develops training/education program to ensure future staff needs and facilitate professional growth of existing staff. Coordinates programs to ensure patient quality outcomes and quality assurance are maintained. Ensures regulatory compliance; facilitates external and internal data collection and analysis; and promotes patient and physician satisfaction. Assists Director(s) in ensuring both inter- and intra-hospital communication and collaboration. Assists in Cardiovascular Program marketing and involvement in community events and partnerships.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities 

  1. Provide appropriate, quality service and/or care for age-related needs of the population(s) served, according to the established performance standards and policies of the unit for the entire Carondelet market.
  2. Maintains required clinical/technical knowledge and skill set to support staff within scope of practice. 
  3. Coordinates implementation of cardiovascular and other diagnoses and treatment response with the Care Team Members
  4. Participates in the identification of learning needs, coordination of planning and implementation and compliance with monitoring Cardiac registries as assigned and current (NCDR Cath PCI, TVT, LAAO) and STS Adult Cardiothoracic registries.
  5. Facilitates the planning and implementation of annual community and outreach programs for Cardiovascular awareness and prevention promotion.
  6. Promotes staff education to meet professional and program needs
  7. Responds to the needs and expectations of internal and external customers (patients, partners, stakeholders, payors, physicians, staff, volunteers, etc.) and provides feedback to managers/staff regarding the needs and expectations of customers and the program.
  8. Works collaboratively with EMS Liaison to maintain and submit SHARE Cardiac Arrest Date
  9. Coordinates and maintains appropriate and effective service provision in assigned area through systems knowledge.
  10. Communicates and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and applicable CHN/Tenet policies and procedures
  11. Provides direction and delegation in a positive, professional manner and ensures follow-through.
  12. Ensures safety is maintained in relation to equipment and environment.
  13. Demonstrates the ability to interact with and motivate staff, and foster personal and professional growth through delegation, problem solving, conflict resolution and mentoring.
  14. Demonstrates ability to respond positively to changing circumstances.
  15. Serves as a leader in program development
  16. Identifies and maintains required knowledge and skill sets to deliver/support quality patient care
  17. Maintains annual requirements for role and program
  18. Ensures program/service compliance with facility, regulatory agency, and corporate standards.
  19. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Licensure/Certifications: 

              Required: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days.

              Preferred: Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)

Education: 

Required: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing

Preferred: BSN, MSN

Experience: Required:  Minimum 3 years related cardiovascular experience with some level of leadership experience. Must demonstrate advanced knowledge of program development, Microsoft Office Suite, computer and application skills
