$10,000.00 Sign On Bonus w/2 Years' Experience!!! Who We Are Our inpatient oncology unit is a [34]-bed adult acute care unit dedicated to patients living with cancer and blood disorders. We care for patients through active treatment, symptom crisis, disease progression, and recovery — often across multiple admissions and multiple years. Our nurses know their patients by name, and frequently by story. The work Nurses on this unit administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, and bispecific antibody therapy, and manage the high-acuity complications that come with them — cytokine release syndrome, ICANS, neutropenic fever, tumor lysis, and complex pain and symptom burden. Care includes central line and access management, transfusion therapy, oncologic emergency recognition and escalation, and end-of-life and goals-of-care support. Patients are managed collaboratively by oncology and hospitalist teams with clearly defined ownership and escalation pathways, so nurses always know who to call and when. Why nurses who want to be excellent choose this unit You will become a specialist, not a generalist. Chemotherapy and biotherapy competency is developed through a formal pathway pairing didactic learning with supervised administrations and institutional competency validation. Structured onboarding, not sink-or-swim. New hires — including new-to-practice nurses — move through core oncology orientation, shadowing, simulation including mock CRS scenarios, and ambulatory practicum shifts at TMC Cancer Center sites before independent practice. Real clinical judgment at the bedside. Standardized order sets and escalation triggers are built into the workflow, but the nurse's assessment drives the response. Early recognition here changes outcomes measurably. A career ladder with somewhere to go. Oncology certification (OCN), charge and clinical nurse lead roles, preceptor and super-user roles, shared governance, and unit-based process improvement leadership are all available and actively supported. A growing service line. TMC's oncology program is expanding as outpatient volume grows, which means new resources, new therapies, and new opportunities rather than a static assignment. What We Expect Excellence here looks like precision with high-risk medications, disciplined safety practice including independent dual verification and PPE compliance, honest escalation, and the emotional steadiness to sit with patients and families on the hardest days. We hire for clinical rigor and for compassion, and we don't trade one for the other. Schedule and structure Open 24/7, 365 days a year. [12-hour shifts]; RN-to-patient ratio 1:5. The team includes RNs, PCTs, unit clerks, a clinical nurse lead, and a dedicated unit manager, supported by oncology pharmacy, case management, social work, palliative care, dietitians, and rehabilitation therapies. Early recognition here changes outcomes measurably. A career ladder with somewhere to go. Don't let the name fool you; we hire all ages! At Seniors Helping Seniors , we believe that aging should be met with dignity, grace, and respect—and we believe the exact same thing applies to our care team. If you are exhausted by the grueling pace of taxing nursing homes and short-staffed hospitals, we offer a breath of fresh air. We are not a chaotic facility or a traditional, fast-paced staffing agency that treats you like a number. To us, our seniors and our CNAs matter equally. You deserve an environment where you are truly valued, respected, and given the space to do what you do best: provide exceptional, compassionate care. We specialize in creating genuine, long-term bonds by matching our care team with local seniors based on shared interests, compatible backgrounds, and mutual trust. If you are a licensed CNA who wants to escape facility burnout and transition to rewarding, one-on-one home care, your community needs you. The Impact You Will Make Every day can look a little different, but your professional training and presence will always provide safety, comfort, and peace of mind. In this role, you will: Provide Skilled, Compassionate Care: Assist seniors with activities of daily living (ADLs), including safe transferring, ambulation, bathing, dressing, and personal grooming, while always maintaining their dignity. Offer Specialized Peace of Mind: Utilize your training to provide vital respite care and specialized support for families navigating advanced aging needs, including Alzheimer’s/dementia, Parkinson's, cancer, or post-surgery recovery. Support Daily Independence: Lend a hand with mild to moderate tasks that keep a household running smoothly, such as light house cleaning and meal preparation. Bring Joy and Connection: Move beyond clinical tasks—share stories, enjoy hobbies, and keep seniors socially engaged and active. Provide Safe Passage: Drive seniors to local errands, grocery shopping, or medical appointments when needed. What We Are Looking For (Safety & Trust) Because the individuals we serve rely heavily on us, we look for dedicated professionals who understand the profound value of consistency and high-quality care. To join our team, you must bring: Active Credentials: A valid, unencumbered state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license. Physical Agility & Awareness: The ability to safely assist with transfers, bending, lifting, and reaching. Above all, you must maintain excellent situational awareness and quick reflexes to ensure environmental safety and provide steady, safe guidance during a crisis. You get to focus entirely on one patient at a time, allowing you to actually use your skills to make a measurable difference in someone's quality of life. Valued and Respected: We know how hard CNAs work, and we make sure you feel appreciated every single day. Your insights regarding your client matter to us, and you will always have a supportive administrative team backing you up. Schedules Built for Stability: Many agencies constantly rotate schedules, shuffling CNAs between different houses and leaving them with unpredictable hours. Our goal is entirely different: we work with you to progressively build a consistent, stable schedule with the same regular seniors. Please note: because we thoughtfully match based on compatibility, building your ideal schedule takes a little time. Hours are built up progressively as we find the perfect matches for you, rather than offering full-time hours immediately on day one. Thoughtful Matching: We don't just assign random shifts. We spend time getting to know your unique background and hobbies to pair you with a compatible senior, allowing you to build a genuine, rewarding bond over time.
