Certified Medication Aides/Techs make sure the medication supply room is organized and clean, assist with medication cart audits, and provide accurate counts of all medications. You will also communicate with pharmacies to coordinate medication delivery.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider’s orders Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following company and regulatory guidelines Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution and incidents; Observe residents for safety and reports any and all changes in resident condition effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner to LN on duty Assisting residents with ADL tasks including but not limited to: assisting with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, serving and assisting with meals, feeding, housekeeping, bed making, and laundry Always observe and uphold resident rights; assist residents to and from meals; Relate to residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner Must be willing to work with and provide assistance to other staff from all departments to ensure quality of care for residents Documents pertinent information in residents charts and in other specified locations (e.g.; alert charting and incident reports) Communicates with physicians, via fax and telephone Keep environment safe and clean for residents Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor Carry and posses a working knowledge of community communication system and EHR. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in standard English. The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living. Physical Demands and Requirements: Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach. Must be willing to be active and on feet during entire work shift. Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities. Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items.
