Job Description Summary:

The Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN), a member of Advocate Health Nursing Professional Governance community, provides high- quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery in an ambulatory care setting. Our main location is in the Medical Office Center at 17850 S Kedzie Ave., Suite 3100, in Hazel Crest, IL, with additional locations in Orland Park, South Holland, and Frankfort, IL. Our practice includes seven providers, four OB/GYN physicians, one gynecologist, two Advanced Practice Nurses and a dedicated social worker. We provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to women of all ages. In office procedures include colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, LEEP and hysteroscopy.

This description is general in nature and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. * Specialty Specific Responsibilities Transplant RN Position Summary : -Provides nursing care from initial patient contact through high dose chemotherapy followed by stem cell rescue to follow-up care post stem cell rescue. -Key Responsibilities (Prepares and administers therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.): Manages symptoms/toxicities/health abnormalities related to the intense high dose therapy, stem cell rescue and rehabilitation following rescue in collaboration with transplant physician and/ supervisor. -Key Responsibilities (Facilitates clinical operations and patient care): Reports data to company for Transplant related registries and appropriate bodies, International Autologous and Blood and Marrow Transplant Registries. -Incorporates company Transplant Network recommendations into clinical practice as assigned. Key Responsibilities (Inter professional collaboration): Assists in providing community education to those interested in the process of stem cell transplantation. Qualifications Minimum Job Qualifications : -Bone marrow or hematopoietic stem cell transplant -Infusion RN Key Responsibilities (Prepares and administers therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.) -Programs portable infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery and provides instruction to the patient and/or caregiver in the use of the pump at home. -Demonstrates knowledge of ambulatory infusion pump use and maintenance, cleaning pumps after use, and proper documentation of pump usage. Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities): Education/Training: -Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred. -RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. -Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must maintain continuing education requirements. -3-5 years nursing experience including at least one year in oncology preferred. - RN Minimum Job Qualifications: -Radiation oncology Gynecological Oncology RN. -Gynecological Oncology. Specialized Knowledge/Skills: -Oncology certification preferred. -Experience in Infusion Nursing. -Chemotherapy Immunotherapy provider card, preferred. -Radiation Oncology.
