Registered Nurse Wound Care Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized wound care plans for patients with complex wounds

  • Conduct comprehensive wound evaluations, including measurements, photographic documentation, and debridement as necessary

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and achieve optimal patient outcomes

  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on wound care techniques, including dressing changes and wound cleansing

  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including wound measurements, treatments, and responses to treatment

  • Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize wound care practices

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest wound care research, technologies, and best practices
