Shift: Part-time Days
8am to 430pm
16 hours weekly guarantee, Thursday and Friday one week and Monday and Tuesday the next week, rotating. No call and no weekend commitment.
Job Description
The LPN Clinic is responsible for assisting with safe and effective patient care under the supervision of physicians and mid-level providers. This position performs routine back-office functions, including maintaining patient flow, preparing exam rooms, and recording basic medical history. This role retrieves and routes provider and nurse messages, schedules appointments, and handles prescription refills as directed. In addition, this position ensures clinical compliance with sterilization techniques, sample medication oversight, and OSHA requirements. Additionally, this role supports other office staff in patient care activities.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinates and provides quality patient-focused care in a physician’s clinic.
Places patients in the examining room and ensures their comfort.
Performs patient intake entry, obtains vital signs, and documents patient information.
Assists physicians with examinations, treatments, and office surgeries.
Performs phlebotomy and laboratory tests as required, adhering to state and federal regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Use of Computers, telephone, fax machine, copier, stethoscope, EKG machine, pulse oximeter, oxygen devices, wheelchairs, stretchers, scales, glucose monitor, and other patient care equipment necessary to perform required duties as appropriate to the scope of the practice. [Required]
Proficiency must be attained via on-the-job training, and orientation, [Preferred]
Education:
Associate [Preferred]
High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
Associates Degree or equivalent specific to Licensed Practice Nurse preferred
Work Experience:
1+ position related experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) [Required]
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
